Thank You!

Thank you Kansas City once again. You made the 20th anniversary of Rockfest one of the most memorable I have been to. I can’t tell you how good it feels from our side to see all of you out there. And the way you treat each other is beyond good. I saw a lot of people get knocked down and pulled right back up and dusted off. Sure you had fun but you always made sure the person next to you was safe and happy as well. For that I say thank you! Thank you for coming out and can’t wait to do it again next year! M

O Axl

I am sure you heard us all talking last week about Axl Rose not wanting to be part of the Hall of Fame.
Not sure if anyone really knows including Axl as to why he refused but Miles sure did step up for the cause.
Don't get me wrong Axl is a big factor for the sound of GNR but at the end of the day the show must go on.
What do you think?
GNR can go on without Slash or Axl?

So you will more than likely never get me to watch Dancing With The Stars but I did find this on line this morning.
And I kind of wish I would have seen it.
Till next time!

Ps. Really only the first minute and a half are worth watching!

I to this day have a secret love for Limp Bizkit.
And I really think they got the wheels rolling on the whole rap/rock thing.
There have and had been many bands to do the style but they really rought it to the mainstream as far as getting it going.
So today I was reading TMZ and found this.
Really, I am not even sure if it matters anymore?

Is Fred pulling a Axl?

Your call! Ill be over here singing "Break Stuff"!

The Limp Bizkit comeback might be over before it begins ... because TMZ has learned Fred Durst is gunning hard to axe two of the original members.

The "Nookie" band recently signed a deal with Cash Money Records ... and had been planning to put out a new record in the very near future.

But we're told plans came to a grinding halt recently ... when original members DJ Lethal and drummer John Otto were informed that Fred had a "new vision" for the group ... and they weren't part of the vision.

Sources tell us ... Fred has been upset with the guys for a while ... claiming their partying habits didn't fit with his lifestyle.

We're told the guys have not been officially 86'd from the group ... but they feel it might be headed in that direction unless they work out their issues, stat.

TMZ reached out to DJ Lethal ... who told us, "We've worked together the last 4 years to bring Limp Bizkit back to where it is today ... and to just be thrown out on the street after the band gets a new deal and a new chance at life isn't cool."

He adds, "You can't push away the people who helped you get there. The fans should know that if 2/5 of the original band are not playing at the concerts, it wont be truthful to them."

What is Rockfest?
This time of year I get a lot of calls about Rockfest. Sure there are the obvious questions as to what time bands will be on, how the autograph tent works, what I can bring. And other random stuff like that. But many times I get questions about what it is like. It is really hard to put into words what Rockfest is like. The best way I can say it is that it is a big field party with really kick ass music. Just think about you and a bunch of your friends hanging out in a field with the tunes going and having a good time. Plus we toss in a bunch of other cool stuff. Like having the actual bands play instead of killing your friend’s battery in his car, autograph tents to meet the bands, and there is always a chance for you to get married by me! Come on who else can say they had Shinedown play at their wedding! And the best part is everyone watches out for everyone. That is what it’s all about! See ya there! M

Just found this and had to share!

This may be a travel to show for me if it does not come to KC!

MÖTLEY CRÜE and KISS held a press conference yesterday (Tuesday, March 20) at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California to officially announce details of their co-headlining 2012 North American summer tour, simply dubbed "The Tour". The trek — which will see KISS closing the show each night — will kick off on July 20 in Bristow, Virginia and will run through September 23 in Hartford, Connecticut. The Live Nation-promoted tour will go on sale beginning Friday, March 23 at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com. The KISS Army fan club pre-sales begin Wednesday, March 21 at 10 a.m.

Said MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx: "Growing up, I had a KISS poster, AEROSMITH poster and SWEET on the wall, and for me to go out and do this together, it's an honor. I know what KISS is about — I've been watching them for years — and I think it's a perfect, perfect match. Maybe a match made in hell, in some places in America they may think, but it's a perfect match and it's gonna be all night long — hits, bombs, girls, topless a few. MÖTLEY CRÜE and KISS — I can't wait to experience it myself."

Added KISS frontman Paul Stanley: "Nikki and I have been in touch with each other and just going, 'This is awesome.' This is something we're all really fired up about. It's double what either one of us could do, so exponentially it's that much bigger. Whatever either band is capable of doing, you do it double on one night. It's out of the park, man. We're gonna level each city, literally."

With combined album sales of almost 200 million, KISS and MÖTLEY CRÜE are more than just iconic; they remain today as the dominant powerhouses of rock music tallying 30+ chart-topping hits, countless sold out tours and awards and accolades from around the world. Known for their elaborate and spectacular stage shows, each band plans to give fans the ultimate summer concert experience with the most impressive lighting and sound production ever and their signature over-the-top pyrotechnics. This is the first time KISS and MÖTLEY CRÜE will share a stage since 1982.

Rockfest 2012

DAMN is all that I can say.
Not sure if you heard but you, my fellow Rockaholics bought up 30,000 tickets in the first 3 days of the sale!

I dont even know what to say about something like that.
I grew up in a town of 1,700 and my math is not the best but that is about 17 of my hometowns all in one place.
At the same time!

And there are still 25,000 to go.
DAMN.

See ya at the party!

M
