WATCH: Metallica Play "Spit Out The Bone" Live for the First Time; Announce California Wildfire Benefit

October 25, 2017

Parts of Northern California were devastated by wildfires earlier this month. In an effort to help provide some relief to the victims of the tragedy, the hometown heroes of Metallica have announced a benefit concert called “Band Together.”

Headliners for the concert include Metallica and Dave Matthews Band with support from rapper G-Eazy and more to be announced. The event will take place at San Francisco’s AT&T Park on November 9, and 100% of ticket sales will go to the poverty-fighting organization called Tipping Point Community, which set up an emergency relief fund for “low-income, vulnerable communities” affected by the North Bay fires.

Band Together tickets go on sale Friday, October 27 at 10 AM PDT through Ticketmaster and the Band Together website, and the band will live stream the concert on Facebook Live November 9th at 5:45 PM PST.

On a lighter note, the band just performed their Hardwired…To Self-Destruct song “Spit Out The Bone” live for the first time last night (October 24) at the O2 Arena in London.
